London’s favourite gin-based harmony group, the Gin and Harmonics, was set up in 2010 by a group of friends united by their love of a cappella and, well, gin. The Harmonicas, as they are fondly known (at least to each other) sing everything from folk songs to Lady Gaga and have performed at a range of events and venues from Cadogan Hall to the Brighton Dome and at weddings, birthdays and charity concerts. They won the award for Outstanding Performance in the Voice Festival UK final in 2016, which they celebrated with, well, gin. They are based in London and rehearse weekly-ish. Depending on how close they are to a performance, the ratio of harmonics to gin at rehearsals varies considerably.
